GIC Case Study: Transforming Manufacturing Web Design, Brand Identity, and Online Presence

Our client, GIC, a leading circuit board firm specializing in full turnkey contract manufacturing, approached us with the challenge of revitalizing their brand identity and updating their outdated website. They sought to create a modern, engaging online presence that accurately represented their services and showcased their expertise to potential clients.

Result

Our collaboration with GIC resulted in a complete transformation of their brand identity and online presence through strategic marketing for industrial companies. As a result, they experienced increased engagement, improved conversions, and enhanced brand recognition, establishing them as a leader in their industry.

Branding

Logo Transformation

Before engaging our services, the client’s logo consisted of three nondescript letters accompanied by an unrecognizable symbol—an issue often seen in marketing for industrial companies. The logo failed to communicate the essence of the company’s offerings. To address this, our team crafted a new logo using a purposeful color palette and product-driven imagery. The result was a modern, eye-catching logo that clearly reflected the company’s mission and expertise while maintaining visual continuity with the original.

Print Collateral

We also supported the client in designing and developing trade show materials that aligned seamlessly with their new brand identity. This included business cards featuring raised circuit details to convey professionalism, while reinforcing the website and logo’s theme and color palette. In addition, we designed a two-sided flyer printed on heavy cardstock, giving potential clients a clear, concise overview of GIC and their services.

Web Development

GIC’s website had not received any updates for a staggering 15 years. As a result, it suffered from an outdated design, narrow format, and a dull gray color palette. We recognized the need to revamp the entire website to create a captivating user experience.

Web Design Approach

  • Enhanced Visual Elements: We introduced graphic design elements inspired by the client’s products and services, such as circuits, which were highly animated and interactive throughout the site. These elements not only added visual appeal but also reinforced the brand’s identity and message.
  • Engaging Multimedia: To provide a comprehensive virtual tour of the client’s facility, we conducted several photo and video shoots. By capturing the facility, products, and production methods in action, we aimed to offer potential clients an immersive and informative experience. Our videos featured content that highlighted the benefits of each featured product, enabling prospects to better understand GIC’s offerings.
  • User-Friendly Navigation: We implemented a well-organized taxonomy and categorization system to ensure easy navigation for website visitors. This enhanced user experience allowed visitors to quickly find the information they needed, leading to higher engagement and increased conversions.
  • Content Expansion: Recognizing the importance of search engine optimization (SEO) and informative content, we conducted in-depth research and provided the client with a substantial amount of content that aided SEO efforts. Additionally, we expanded the range of information available on the website, including detailed services and industries served, to provide visitors with a comprehensive understanding of the client’s capabilities.

Mobile Optimization

Given that the legacy website had not undergone any updates in 15 years, it lacked mobile optimization. Understanding the significance of mobile traffic, we developed the website with a responsive design that seamlessly adapted to different screen sizes. This ensured that potential customers could easily access and explore GIC’s services, regardless of the device they were using.

Through a strategic blend of graphic design, print collateral, and manufacturing web design, we delivered a cohesive brand and digital experience that positioned GIC for long-term growth. The refreshed visual identity, modernized website, and responsive design transformed how the company presents itself across every touchpoint—both online and in person. By aligning form and function, the new design enhances usability, increases engagement, and strengthens GIC’s credibility as a leader in their industry.
